The Wider Measure
I’m Nikki Peal—a corporate leader, wife, mother, and lifelong high achiever exploring how we build lives that feel as successful as they appear.
I created The Wider Measure for accomplished women who still value ambition, but know that a title, salary, achievement, number, or role can never tell the whole story of a life.
My Story
For much of my life, I learned to measure progress through visible outcomes.
Titles earned. Goals completed. Responsibilities expanded. Milestones reached.
Those measures matter. They can reflect discipline, growth, contribution, and years of meaningful effort.
But they don’t necessarily capture the whole story.
They cannot tell us whether our work still feels meaningful, whether our health supports the life we want to live, whether our relationships are receiving the attention they deserve, or whether the choices we are making still reflect who we are becoming.
Over time, my own experiences—as a leader, wife, mother, woman who has moved countries, navigated profound change and loss, and continued challenging herself personally and professionally—have made me more thoughtful about what success means in different seasons of life.
My ambition has not disappeared.
It has become more intentional.
The Wider Measure grew from that realization: we do not need to reject achievement in order to examine it more honestly. We can continue pursuing meaningful goals while also asking whether the life surrounding those goals is healthy, connected, sustainable, and genuinely our own.
And so became The Wider Measure.

What if success wasn't a summit but a wider, richer landscape you got to map yourself?

Life Beyond the Title
Somewhere in the middle of building a career, I became a mother, a partner, a daughter showing up in ways I didn't know I had in me. My family didn't slow my ambitions — they widened them. They gave me a richer reason to care about what a well-lived life actually looks like.
Everything I write in The Wider Measure, I write for the version of myself who needed it — and for the women whose lives look full on paper but still feel like there's something missing.
Career, health, wealth, family, and self — you get to define what thriving looks like across all of them.
Better information, better perspectives, and a wider lens to guide the most important decisions of their lives.
Slowing down to reflect, question, and choose deliberately is what separates a full life from a busy one.
